The basic philosophy of Better Diver is to certify safe divers by training them as completely possible, and by requiring of ourselves the highest level of standards in scuba diving instruction. Versatility is not just an option... Better Diver is a Recognized 5 star Professional Development Center for SCUBA Diving International (SDI), Technical Diving International (TDI), and Emergency Response Diving International (ERDI). We understand what it takes to make you a safe and confident diver. No matter what your certification interests may be, we can assist you in obtaining the training you want. We will make sure you are satisfied with our services and ensure you receive the highest quality training possible. We teach SCUBA diving in the safest manner possible. We recognize that you have options when it comes to your dive training and Better Diver encourages you to explore your options. We are fully confident that once you speak with us, you will choose us over any other options available. We think teaching diving is an important responsibility and it should be done properly. We also think that you, the customer, should know right at the outset what you are paying for and what's included in the price you have paid. Also, you need to know how we do things and what to look out for if you are comparing us with other dive facilities. Feel free to ask us anything. Just as importantly, you will want to compare how our courses are set up and how we do things in comparison with other facilities. We provide enjoyable courses, but we also insure that our customers are fully trained. We're happy to be compared, because we think we offer the best value and quality package around. Our prices may be more or less than other facilities, but the training you receive will make you a Better Diver. We are living in a world of shortcuts, where everything has to be easier, faster, cheaper but still better than before. There is no shortcut to quality training. Don't choose the cheapest or fastest course - choose the best course, taught by enthusiastic and experienced professionals who care about you and your future diving safety and enjoyment. Some of those offering training want volume and are more business orientated, we prefer to stay more modest and design our courses with more requirements, making courses more thorough and complete. Your Instructor is far more important that your certification card and you should be more aware of the experience and background of your trainer than all the advantages and freebies you may get by taking any specific course. Any Instructor can teach a diving course badly, but only an educator will take the time and effort to train you thoroughly and to a safe level of knowledge. We emphasis this because we have seen badly run courses. Please take your time in choosing your Dive Facility and your Instructor. Remember, that if price is your only concern, you will get what you pay for. This usually means large classes, distracted Instructors, fast turnover of students, quite possibly the worst way to learn to dive. We have seen the reefs, wildlife, and activity in the sea, we have swam through a shipwreck, we've seen the expressions on students faces when they master new skills. Making Better Divers is why we are here. We believe the experience is something everybody should be able to try. From beginner through Professional levels, from family sessions to group business incentives. Our rigorous professional standards ensure that we can bring your underwater experience to life safely, expertly, and with value for money at a pace that you feel comfortable with. All our courses are organized and run to either meet or exceed all current requirements of the agency you choose to ensure you are taught to dive safely and competently. This is not the case with all Dive Facilities. We run small class and course sizes. We attempt to generally have a maximum of ten students per course Instructor so you get the most attention and instruction at all times. If we have a larger group, we organize the group into smaller groups. Small groups of divers, expert guidance, state-of-the-art equipment and personal attention to your needs make our programs the most thorough, the safest, and the most enjoyable course of diving instruction available anywhere. We aim to give personal, individual attention. You won't feel ignored with us and we've always got the time to help you master your skills. There's no time limit as far as we're concerned. You don't leave until you're fully trained. Our Open Water Diver course allows for the time needed in the pool to learn and practice dive skills. Other dive facilities try to squeeze all this into just six hours pool time, we feel that this is not the best environment for learning new skills. We offer the SDI Online Open Water Diver and Nitrox Course also. We feel this is an easy way to meet our customers schedules. This program does minimize the amount of class room time needed, but we will insure that you understand everything prior to your first dive. If after completing your pool sessions, you would like another session to work on your skills or just to practice, then we will arrange another pool session. We don't use Divemasters or Assistant Instructors in place of Instructors. Divemasters and A.I.'s can assist with courses but they can't teach diving. Any Divemasters or A.I.'s we use are to give even more help to students in mastering skills and are in addition to Instructors. We are always happy to assist you with your equipment purchases, dive trips, or anything dive related. Once your course is over, we are always there to help and will always help you choose your equipment if you're not sure what to buy for the diving you intend to do. This is all part of our service and free of charge. Once our student, always our student. Our advice is only a phone call away and it's free. For Advanced and Specialty courses, we go the extra mile to insure that you understand and are comfortable with the instruction. Extending your skill should not be a hassle. We apply the knowledge we have gained to assist you with the knowledge you're purchasing. Our courses are fun! We aim to make the experience with us as enjoyable as possible and we want you to leave with a smile on your face. We never place enjoyment over safety, so there may be times when you will experience what we call "Serious Fun". All our courses are as flexible as possible. We do have fixed course schedules and we try to keep a group together, but we can try to accommodate you if certain dates are difficult to fit in. We offer flexible payment options. We ask for a deposit at time of booking and usually the balance of the course cost when you start the course. If you want however, we can spread the balance of the course fees over the remainder of the course to help ease the financial load. We like to think we have some of the friendliest diving Instructors around and we aim to make our courses relaxed, enjoyable and fun. Some people are daunted by the thought of learning to scuba dive - don't be. It's easy and we've taught people from 10 years old to 60-70 years old (No, we didn't ask how old she was, she wrote it on the forms and we left it at that). Our goal is that you should start the course as a customer and finish the course as a friend. Don't be afraid to ask other Dive Facilities questions, such as:
Our goal is to train competent, comfortable divers. Our objective is not to teach the most divers, but to give you the most complete course possible, with lots of personal attention. Courses at Better Diver are limited in size, so that you don't get lost in the numbers. The time spent with the Instructor is valuable to each student. We maximize this time by reviewing course materials, and maximizing your time diving! In addition to your primary Instructor, you'll have additional Divemasters and Instructors assisting with your program. Our team members pride themselves on continuing their own education, to expand and improve their diving experience and ability. Our seasoned team members have experience in many realms of diving. As you continue your diving education, you'll find someone who shares your specific interests. While all of us share a common interest in educating divers, our staff is very diverse. Whether you want to get into wreck diving, underwater photography, or fish identification, or just do the occasional dive, we'll link you with an Instructor who has specialized training (and a passion) in that area of diving. We're sure that you'll enjoy your experience at Better Diver. We look forward to introducing you to the underwater world soon-it's time to take the plunge. We currently offer Recreational, Technical, and Public Safety SCUBA training. Our training begins with your first dive and can take you through to SCUBA Instructor as well as offering numerous specialties to make you a Better Diver. Why should you choose Better Diver for your training? Simply because recreational dive certification facilities do not offer a full line of educational products for recreational, technical, and professional public safety dive training! Recreational training facilities are just recreational training facilities! Nothing more! Next time you visit your local dive store that offers training from beginners to technical divers or professional public safety dive training, ask for: 1. Their complete list of courses offered for recreational, technical, or professional public safety dive training courses from their recreational training agency. 2. Their technical or professional public safety instructor certifications (Cards, Authorization for Specialties Training Letters, and Certificates) with current affiliation in good standing and proof of current professional liability insurance in recreational, technical, and professional public safety dive training! You can contact us via E-Mail at info@betterdiver.com If you would rather use a more personal method, call us at 256-326-9053. We hope to help you become a Better Diver. |
